 January 31st 2011We got an e-mail with photo today. They came from France and stayed at Sakuraya for 2 nights on August 5th and 6th. During their stay it had been sunny and they were able to go to the beach for swimming. We hope we would be able to meet you someday again.   December 19th 2010 They came from Singapore and stayed at Sakuraya for 2 nights. On the 1st day they arrived early to leave their luggages and went to Shimoda downtown. On the 2nd day they went to Kawazu Seven Waterfalls, and Izu-kogen to go to Teddy Bear Musium. On the last day they left their luggages at Shimoda station and went to Irozaki Cape. When they had dinner and breakfast we were able to have a good talking and comunication. Thank you for staying at Sakuraya. * You can post your comments here. |

 12/06/2010 We got a photo from our guests by e-mail.They came from Hong Kong and stayed at Sakuraya for 1 night. After staying at Sakuraya they went to Perry Road in Shimoda downtown, took Tour Boat "Black Ship" at Shimoda bay, and went to Kawazu Seven Water Falls, Teddy Bear Museum in Izu Kogen in a day. In their e-mail they said, "Many thanks for the hospitality and the detailed travel information." We appreciate to hear that! We look forward to meeting you someday again.  12/04/2010They came from Singapore and stayed at Sakuraya for 1 night. After arriving in Japan they stayed in Tokyo for several nights and went to Ito, and came to Shimoda after that. When they checked-in they said, "My friend who stayed at this Pension last year recommended us this Pension. That's why we came here". We are appreciated very much. Please tell your friend "Thank you very much!" When they checked out they said, "We would like to stay longer next time". We are very glad to hear that. We look forward to meeting you again.  10/12/2010They are from Switzerland and Germany and live in Tokyo. On the 1st day and the 2nd day it had been rainy, but the weather was changed on the 3rd day. Yes, it was almost summer day and very hot here in Shimoda. So they went to Shirahama beach and were able to swam on that day. We are very glad that you enjoyed your stay and the food at Sakuraya.   10/03/2010 They came from France and stayed at Sakuraya for 2 nights. It is a first time for them to visit to Japan and they planed to stay for 3 weeks. They came to Shimoda from Hakone by rental car after 2 weeks stay in Japan. They went to Tour Boat of Shimoda bay and took a cable car in Shimoda. It had been sunny during their stay I think they were able to have a good time here in Shimoda. When they checked out they gave us these presents of Paris.  09/19/2010We got an e-mail with photo from our customers today. They came to Japan from Canada on last August and stayed at Pension Sakuraya for 4 nights from 26th. They have a Japanese friend who live in Japan, and she made a reservation for this family. During their stay it had been sunny and beautiful, so they could have a great holiday in Shimoda, I think.  08/02/2010They came from France and stayed at Sakuraya for 3 nights. As the mother is Japanese her children speak Japanese well. It had been rainy in Hakone before coming to Shimoda, but it was changed and had been sunny during their stay in Shimoda. On the 2nd day they spend a whole day at Shirahama beach, and went to Kujuppama and Tsumekizaki on the 3rd day. We look forward to meeting you someday again.  07/26/2010They came from Sweden and stayed at Sakuraya for 4 nights. Their travel in Japan is 3 weeks. They went to Tokyo, Takayama, Kyoto, Hiroshima and came to Shimoda. During their stay it had been very hot and beautiful days, so they went to the beach twice a day, in every morning and every late afternoon. We were very happy to spend 5 days with you.  07/19/2010They are from India and live in Tokyo now. He has been in Japan since 10 years agao and his wife has been for 5 years. They stayed at Sakuraya for 2 nights and went to the beach, aquariam and some other places in Shimoda. He speaks Japanese very well and his wife is gorgious, and his daughter is very very cute!!  07/14/2010They came from San Francisco. They have been to Japan several times, but it was a first time for them to visit to Shimoda, and stayed at Sakuraya for 4 nights. During their stay they sometimes had rain but they could go to the beach, especially on 4th day they could spend whole day on the beach. A daughter speaks Japanese very well and gave us a message in Japanese. We have put it soon on the wall in Sakuraya building like this.  <Translated in English> "To Mr. Yamamoto, Thank you for accepting our stay at Sakuraya.  07/10/2010They came to Japan from Australia and stayed at Sakuraya for the 1st time. Before coming to Shimoda they stayed in Tokyo for 5 nights and enjoyed shopping (?). During their stay it was cloudy and rainy on the 2nd day, so they went to Kawazu Seven Water Falls and took Onsen at Amagisou hotel. On the 3rd day they went to Irozaki cape which is tip of Izu peninsula, but how did you like it? Did you see a beautiful scenary? After Shimoda they went to Osaka and Hiroshima.  06/25/2010They are American family who live in Tokyo. The father of this family has stayed at Sakuraya twice. He came from Tokyo with his friends by bike!!! This time he came with his family by car for the 1st time, because the parents came to Japan to meet them. On the 1st day they went to the beach to swim, but how was the water? They were going to the aquarium on the 2nd day, but how did you like "Doctor Fish"? We look forward to meeting you again before moving back to the United states on October.  06/05/2010They came from Australia and stayed at Sakuraya for 3 nights. During their stay it had been sunny and hot. They rent a bike on the 1st day and went to Shimoda down town or Shimoda park, and went to Kawazu seven water falls by bus and train on the 2nd day. On the 3rd day they spent a hole day on the beach and swam a lot, I think. After Shimoda they went to Niijima island by ship from Shimoda harbor.   05/29/2010 They are American who live in Tokyo, and one of them came to Sakuraya for the 2nd time. They came to Shimoda by bike from Tokyo same as last time, but this time they had a cold rain on the 1st day. On the 2nd day it was cloudy, but a little sunny after that, and they came back to Tokyo via Southern and Western part of Izu peninsula. Did you arrive in Tokyo safety?   05/18/2010 They came to Japan for the 1st time and stayed at Sakura-ya in Shimoda for 3 nights. Before coming to Shimoda they went to Tokyo and Kawaguchi-ko. During their stay in Shimoda "Black Ship Festival" was taking place, so they went to Shimoda downtown to see it. And they rented a car and drove in Izu peninsula, and went to Kawazu Seven Water Falls to take Onsen "Out door bath" at Amagi-sou on the 3rd day. When they checked out they gave us a chocorate for Easter. It was very delicious and my wife and children love it. After Shimoda they were going to travel to Kyoto, Nara, Koyasan, Hiroshima and Fukuoka. We hope you had wonderful experiences and good holiday in Japan. Thank you very much for staying at Sakuraya.  04/24/2010They are from Australia and have been in Tokyo since last September. They came to Shimoda for the 1st time and stayed at Sakuraya for 1 night. On the 1st day they went to Shimoda cable car and Shimoda boat tour, and checked-out early in the next morning to go to Shimizu to meet their friends. They are nice couple looks like Hollywood stars, and spaek Japanese well. I took this photo on Shirahama beach because I went there with them to say good bye, and walked on the beach after that. Have a nice time and good experiences in Japan before leaving to Australia after 5 months. Thank you for staying at Sakuraya. |
  03/30/2010 They came from the United States to Japane for the purpose of getting into their friend's wedding ceremony in Kyoto. They stayed at Sakuraya for 1 night and they went to the beach for walking before dinner and next morning, but they said "Thank you for your hospitality."and gave us a present. They were going to Takayama, Hiroshima and Kyoto after Shimoda. I think you got very beautiful scenery with Sakura, but how did you like a travel in Japan?  02/27/2010They are from Philippines and have lived in Tokyo for about 1 year. This time they came and stayed at Sakuraya for the 1st time. We are very sorry, but it was rainy on the morning of the next day, and Unfortunately Tsunami was coming to Japan on that day. So they could not go to the aquarium and take tour boat at Irozaki. However, they were going to Onsen. How did you like it? We are looking forward to meeting you again under the sun shine. Thank you for staying. |
 02/17/2010They are from Denmark. Their daughter is a student of University and stays in Japan, so her parents and brother came to Japan to meet her. They came to Shimoda from Kamakura, and stayed for 2 nights. But it had been almost rainy during their stay. If it had been sunny they could had seen the beautiful sea and had a good holiday on the beach in Shirahama. We are very sorry about it. Thank you for staying.  01/04/2010They came to Japan from Australia for the 1st time, and stayed at Sakuraya for 2 nights. When they stayed in Tokyo they went to Nikko as well. After that they took Shinkansen to get to Atami, and rented a car at Atami station and came to Shimoda. During their stay at Sakuraya they went to Kawazu seven water falls, Dogashima and many places in Izu peninsula. After Shimoda they were going to Toba and Ise in Kii peninsula, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Osaka, Himeji, Hiroshima and Kagoshima for 3 weeks. We hope you had a great holidays in Japan.
