2014/04/09 They came from Shanghai in China. They arrived at Kansai International Airport and stayed in Kyoto for 3 nights. After that, they came to Shimoda and stayed at Pension Sakuraya for 1 night. One of them has lived in Japan, so he speaks Japanese very well. Thank you for staying with us. We hope you will come back to Japan again!

2014/04/05 They are from France and live in Tokyo. 3 years ago they have stayed at Pension Sakuraya, and came this weekend for the 2nd time. They went to Tatado beach for swimming, but how was the water? Did you get into the water? When they checked out they said, "It was very good stay because the rooms are very nice and breakfast is delicious! We will be back again!" We appreciate to hear their very good comment. Thank you for staying with us. We are really looking forward to meeting you again!

2014/04/04 They are from France and live in Vietnam and Thailand, and came to Japan for traveling. During their stay they went to Kawazu town from Shirahama by walking. They said it took for about 3 hours because they spend some time on the beach and took photos at some places on the way. After check out they went to the west side of Izu peninsula to see Mt. Fuji. Thank you very much for staying with us. See you again!!

2014/03/23 They came from Tokyo and stayed for 2 nights. During their stay in Shimoda they walked around in Shimoda and went to the top of Mt. Nesugata, and came back by walking from the montain. Thank you very much for staying with us. See you again in summer!

To Mr. Chan from Canda and your friends, As I told you when you checked out this morning I was going to post your picture on this webpage, but I was not able to do it. Because there was no SD card in my camera when I took the picture of you this morning. So there is no data of your picture. I am very sorry. I would like to take your picture again when you come back next time. We are looking forward to meeting you again. Thank you for staying with us!!

2014/02/09 They have lived in Yokohama since last August, and came to Shimoda for the 1st time. On the 2nd day we had heavy rain and strong wind like a storm. (Actually they had a heavy snowfalls in Tokyo and Kanagawa on that day!) On the 3rd day, we had the sun, so they went to Tsumekizaki and Irozaki cape. We look forward to meeting you again under the sun. Thank you for staying with us!!

2013/12/29 They came from Taiwan and stayed at Pension Sakuraya for 1 nights. She has come to Japan for several times, but it was a first time for him to visit Japan. After check out they went to Tsumekizaki cape to see narcissus flowers, and went to Irozaki cape. Thank you for staying with us!!

2013/11/04 They came from Kawasaki city. in Kanagawa Pref. and stayed for 2 nights for the 1st time. Thank you very much for staying with us.

2013/10/09 Today we got a photo by e-mail from our customers who came from France and stayed at Sakuraya for 6 nights in last August. They are very good family, and their baby was really cute and made us happy! Thank you for staying with us and sending the photo.

2013/10/07 We had a family who are from Germany and live in Tokyo. They have stayed with us during last Golden Week and came to Sakuraya for the second time. Their children are very cute! We miss you, little girls! See you someday again!

2013/08/26 They came from Germany and stayed at Sakuraya for 5 nights. It was a 4th time for us to meet them, and they stay for 5 or 6 nights every time. Actually we have some customers who came again as a second time, but there is nobody came from abroad and stayed for the 4th time. We really appreciate it. By the way they gave us a wonderful present. These are German wine and Austrian ice wine. Last year they sent us these wines after staying and we loved them very much. We are really looking forward to drinking them after busy season. Thank you very much for staying with us and wonderful presents.

2013/08/24 They came from Brooklyn in New York and stayed for 3 nights. It had been almost sunny and they went to the beach every day for swimming. Thank you for staying with us. By the way, when they checked in they gave us presents. These are MAST BROTHERS CHOCOLATE which are very popular in New York in these days. It was a first time for me to see and eat the chocolate with "Chili Peppers"!! Of course it's sweet, but it's not only spicy but also very hot!! Thank you for these presents!!

2013/08/22 This family came from France and stayed for 6 nights. They went to the nearest beach "Shirahama", Sotoura Beach and many places in Shimoda. After check-out they went to Narita airport to leave Japan. See you someday again. Thank you very much for staying with us.

2013/08/07 They are from the Philippines and live in Tokyo. As they arrived in Shirahama in the late afternoon, they was able to swim for the only short time. Next time leave from Tokyo earlier than this time and have a longer good time on the beach. Thank you for staying with us.

2013/08/08 They are the 1st customers who came from Brazil. Before coming to Shimoda they went to Hiroshima to participate in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony. I took these photos of them and the Japanese sword (Katana) which is aｎ umbrella acutually. They bought it in Tokyo. Thank you very much for staying with us.

2013/08/07 They are the 1st customer from Hungary and stayed at Sakuraya for 3 nights. During their stay they went to the beach for swimming and went to Shimoda and Suzaki for walking. We had a very good time with you. Thank you for staying with us.

2013/08/06 They came from Scotland and stayed for 6 nighs at Pension Sakuraya. When they checked in they gave us this present! This is a whisky fudge which is Scottish Whisky Tablet and I've never seen and eaten. Thank you for staying with us and this delicious present!!

2013/07/31 They are from the Philippines and live in Yokohama city. It was a first time for them to come to Izu peninsula. Before coming to Shimoda they went to Jogasaki suspention bridge in Ito city, and stayed at Sakuraya. Thank you for staying with us. See you again!!

2013/07/27 They came from Switzerland and stayed at Sakuraya for 3 nights. It is a first time for them to travel in Japan. They came to Shimoda after Tokyo and Ito city, and are going to Kyoto, Kanazawa and many places for a month. When they checked out they gave us these present. Thank you for staying with us and "délicieux chocolat" present! Bon Voyage!

2013/07/25 They came from France and stayed for 3 nights. On the 2nd day they went to Shimoda aquarium for the dolphin touching. In the 3rd night their daughter put a Japanese Kimono which they bought in Kyoto when they had dinner. And when they checked out they gave us a present. It was a very delicious sable which they brought from France! Thank you very much for staying with us and the "délicieux" present!! Merci beaucoup!!!

2013/07/19 They came from Russia and stayed for 4 nights. During their stay they went to the beach everyday. When they checked out they gave us this very small dall. This is a russian doll called "Matryoshka". I have never seen such a very small and cute Matryoshka! Thank you for staying with us.

2013/07/16 They came from Switzerland and made a reservatio by phone calling from Osaka. And they stayed at Pension Sakuraya for 2 nights. Before coming to Shimoda they went to Mt. Fuji and climbed to the top!! During their stay it had been almost sunny, and of course they went to the beach for swimming everyday. We look forward to meeting you someday again. 2013/07/05 Seven years ago, they came to Japan and stayed at Sakuraya for the 1st time. They had already had theri son, but they leaned him on theri parents and came to Japan. And this time they came to Shimoda again with their son! We were very glad to meet the first repeat customers from Taiwan, and of course, we had a good time and a great communication with this beautiful family. Thank you very much for staying with us and your wonderful presents and message.

2013/07/05 Yesterday we got a postal package from our customers who live in Kamakura. When I opened it we found out some presents and message from their friends in Oregon. During their stay I took their daughter to the doctor because of the middle ear infection. How is she going? Thank you very much for wonderful present from the United States!!!

2013/07/02 They are a family who came from Sweden. They have visited Japan 5 years ago and came to Japan for the 2nd time this summer. Before coming to Shirahama they stayed in Ito city and went to Southern part of Izu peninsula after checked out. Did you find out sand ski and cave in Toji? and how did you like it? By the way, when they checked out they gave us "Swedish Premium Liquorice". My family and I were worrying about its flavor and tried to eat it, but it was easy for us to eat. This liquorice is a kind of special version, I guess. They are beautiful family!!! Thank you very much for staying with us and the present for us!!!!

2013/07/01 Today we got an envelope via airmail. It was sent from our customers who came from Switzerland and stayed at Sakuraya for 8 nights in last April. We found out some drawings which were given to my son from the children and a postcard of their hometown. My son remembers the children because he played UNO with them many times, and of course he is excited very much to get these presents. When I took these photos my son was just going to bed, so he looks a little sleepy. But I'm sure that these presents made him very happy!!! Thank you very much!!

2013/06/25 They are two families from the United States of America. One of them have lived in Kamakura and have stayed at Sakuraya in last May, and the other family came from the United States and visited Shimoda for the 1st time. A girl had been sick since several days ago and had a slight fever. So I took her to a pediatric hospital in Shimoda with her family. I was relieved that she got better after that. Thank you very much for staying with us. See you again!!

2013/06/09 They are French family who live in Tokyo and had stayed at Sakuraya during last Golden Week in May, and came again for the 2nd time. On the 2nd day they went to the beach and Shimoda Park to see the hydrangea flowers. And they went to Tsumekizaki cape after checked out. Thank you very much for staying with us. After they checked out they went to Hydrangea Festival, Aquarium and Mt. Nesugata Cable car, but were you able to go to all these places today? Thank you very much for staying with us. 2013/06/08 They came from California and stayed for 3 nights. During their stay they went to Shimoda park to see the hydrangea flower festival, walked in Shimoda town and went to Mt. Nesugata by cable car. He is a college teacher and a steel drum player ( is running Facebook: Steel Parade)and she is a creater of Shibori things (is running Facebook: Glennis Dolce- Shibori Girl Studios)in California. Thank you very much for staying with us. My wife and I had a great time with you!!

2013/05/22 They came from Canada and stayed at Sakuraya for 1 night. Before coming to Shimoda they went to Kyoto and Osaka, and will stay in Hakone for 2 nights after Shimoda. Thank you for staying with us.

2013/05/19 They live in Kanagawa Pref. and came to Shimoda to see the Black Ship Festival for the 1st time. We are very happy to hear that one of them is a school teacher and her student's family has stayed at Sakuraya in last May and they recommended our Pension to her. Thank you very much for staying with us.

2013/05/19 They live in Kanagawa Pref. and came to Shimoda for the 1st time. They departed from Kanagawa at 6:00 AM and arrived in Shimoda at around 10:00 AM. They saw the Black Ship Festival Official Parade in Shimoda and came to Sakuraya after that. Thank you very much for your stay at Pension Sakuraya.

2013/05/17 They are from France and stayed at Sakuraya for 2 nights for the 1st time. They rented bikes for 3 days and went to many places in Shimoda by bike. On 2nd day, as it was a beautiful day he rented a surf board and played surfing at Shirahama beach. Thank you very much for staying with us.
