I went to Kumomi district in Matsuzaki town on the western side of Izu peninsula with my son on last Sunday.
I think it was the last chance to go to the beach for snorkeling with him before busy summer.
We enjoyed the open-air hot spring by the sea, but it was not good condition for snorkeling because of big waves and not clear water.
Yesterday we attached new air-conditioner in 3 of 4 Japanese rooms before summer, they are not broken, though.
Because the old ones are 13 years old or over and we don’t worry about its accident during busy season and don’t want to put our customers to inconvenience.
This year it will be 29th Anniversary of Pension Sakuraya.
We started to present this original post card with my own pictures to our customers 10 years ago.
All of them are beautiful and excellent, so it seems to be difficult for you to choose one of them……
We had rain last night, but the beautiful blue sky came back this morning here in Shirahama today.
The water was shining under the clear sky.
The visitors were very lucky to have the gorgeous beach.
I took this picture on the beach behind Shirahama shrine this morning.
We were able to see the Izu Oshima Island floating on the horizon over the Torii (shrine’s gate).
It seems to be very close from Shimoda, but do you know that Tokyo Metropolis owns the island actually?
I went to Ebisujima-island, 15 minutes drive from Sakuraya with my son this afternoon.
The water was a little colder than I expected, but we were able to see some fishes in the water.
I started to clean up the kitchen at the end of May and finished it after all today.
I’m very glad to see everything in this room is shiinng.
My wife and I went to the primary school this morning because of parent day.
This is a view from the 3rd floor of Shirahama primary school this morning.
We used to be able to see the beach from this place several years ago, but the grown trees around this school prevent us from seeing the beach now.
This is the view of the Izu Oshima Island between sea and clouds over the Torii gate of Shirahama.
I took this picture on the beach behind Shirahama Shrine after I took my son to school by my car this morning.
