All of the parking lot in and around Shimoda city are closed because of the Corona Virus. If you park on the road, that would be parking violation and you would be ticketed for illegal parking.

I understand they would like to the beach under the sun like today, but please come to Shimoda after the corona virus situation is over.

It was cloudy this morning, but it became sunny after noon. When I went to the beach it was low tide.

I took some photos of the nearest beach before going to Shimoda for shopping.

There were only 5 people on the beach because of corona virus, it was Sunday today though.

Shimoda city set up the fences on the sea side road to prohibit those from the other cities from parking due to corona virus.

We decided to close our guest house until May 6th due to the same reason.

I walked barefoot on the sandy beach this afternoon after a long time.

It was sunny but we had strong north-east wind today.
I went to 3 beaches in the southern area in Shimoda to see the condition and the field where the local residences set up Koinobori (Carp streameer).
When I went to the beaches I took the route 136, and I took the short cut to come back to Shimoda. It was really hard to run by bike because it was too steep for me.
