2020/05/14 Big Quaking Grass
There are a lot of plants around our house, called big quaking grass native to Europe.
They were imported to Japan as ornamental plant during Meiji era about more than 120 years ago.
2020/05/13 Shimoda city today
It was sunny and very hot here in Shimoda today. I went to Shimoda city for shopping by bike this afternoon.

I took these photos yesterday. I was able to see the Mt.Fuji clearly from the lake Ashinoko in Hakone.

It was sunny and very warm yesterday. The cherry blossoms in Izu peninsula are coming to the end.
2020/04/02 Japanese Bush Warbler
Have you ever seen bush warbler?
They usually live in bush so we can’t see them.
When I was taking photos she was singing just in front of me!! It was the first time for me to take photos of this bird.
2020/03/29 Strong North Wind
We had heavy rain this morning but the blue sky came back this afternoon, we still had super strong and cold north wind though.
A lot of sand were brought to the seaside road from the beach by the super strong north wind. I left my home for walking this afternoon, but I gave up walking because the sand came into my eyes by the wind.
2020/03/16 Mt. Fuji and Snow in Hakone
As I had to go to my daughter’s house my wife and I left our home early this morning and went to Kanagawa Pref. via Hakone. I was very happy to see the Mt.Fuji after a long time.
I was surprised to see that they still had a lot of snow which they had on last Saturday in Hakone.
2020/02/18 Shirahama Beach Today
I walked on the seaside road in the strong west wind this afternoon.
Walking looking over the blue sea, the mountain, the blue sky in the clear air always makes me very happy!
