I’m posting the photos on this Facebook after 5 days because my family and I went to my wife’s hometown last weekend.
I walked on the seaside road to Shimoda bay this afternoon. It was very warm here in Shimoda, we had a little west wind though.
There was no surfers on the beach because they didn’t have good waves today.
These are Boat-wrap Sashimi which our guests ordered today.
I went to Mishima city for shopping yesterday, and we had soft serve ice cream with raw Wasabi on the way.
It was the second time for me to eat it after a long time, but it’s really amazing!
I love this flavor mixed spicy and sweet together!!

Yesterday Ajisai Matsuri (Hydrangea Festival) started in Shimoda. There are a lot of hydrangea trees with more than 3 million blossoms. Now it’s about 30% blooming and they say the best timing to see is the middle of June…
By the way, these photos were taken a long time ago.
It’s a sweet memories of my children….
My son is now 14 years old…..
It was a little sunny this early morning, but it became cloudy and rainy in Izu peninsula after that. We have a loquat tree in our field and it will be the best timing to eat in 3 or 4 days.
My wife and I drove to Gotenba city over Amagi pass because she will have to drive herself next weekend, but she is not good at driving actually.
So we had to check the route how to get there.
I was looking forward to seeing Mt. Fuji, but I was not able to see it because of clods and rain…..
We had a little north wind but it was very hot here in Shirahama today.
The black ship festival in Shimoda was started today, and the fireworks was held at Shimoda bay tonight.
We had no wind at Shimoda bay, so it was the perfect condition for the fireworks display.
As we had been very busy during Golden Week we had one day holiday for our family and went to Mishima city to watch movie and restaurant.
My son was completely satisfied to watch movie and to eat his favorite hamburg steak!
It was cloudy today. As my wife and I had to go to Ohito in Izu city we drove over the Amagi mountains. We run through the old Amagi tunnel on the way home after a long time.
To tell the truth, my wife is not good at driving and also she doesn’t have confidence in herself. So she can not drive by herself on the route which she has never driven. However, my son will have a basket ball games in Izu city over Amagi mountains on next Saturday and my wife will have to drive by herself. Because we will have some guests on that day and I will have to stay at our house.
That’s why I drove my car to show her the route to go to the place where the games will take place…..
I walked to the point where we can see Sotoura beach this afternoon as usual.
Sotoura Beach located between Shirahama beach and the town of Shimoda is very popular with families with children because they don’t have big waves.
And Mihogasaki cape which is between Shirahama beach and Sotoura beach has great view of Izu seven islands and Amagi mountains.
It was very cold last night, so I thought that they might had snow on Izu Oshima island yesterday.
Actually they had a lot of snow on the top of the island this morning.
As our customers were going to Tsumekizaki cape after check out I took them there by my car because I had to go to Shimoda for shopping this morning.
A looooooot of narcissus flowers and Aloe flowers were bloomng under the blue sky.
