Sardine Cooking/Japanese style

060610sardine01_1Our guests who have been staying from last night came back from the sea and said,

"We won ! Look at these a looooot of fishes !"

Yes, they went to Shimoda for fishing and got a lot of sardines like this photo.

"Ok, I am going to cook these fishes for your dinner, because we have no other guests today !" I said…….

060610sardine02_1This is a first cooking "Fried fishes", one of Japanese style cooking with salt and pepper.

Actually the fishes which has just been got this afternoon are very delicous, and this cooking calls some beer !

But did you notice some of them are brown ?

I am sure that I have not made a mistake, I cooked them with soy souce and Japanese Sake. That’s why the color is brown.

This is a second cooking "Tsumire Jiru" in Japanese.

We, Japanse, cook sardines like meat balls and eat it with Miso soup.

Today’s sardines were very small, so it was really difficult to cook.
But as I cooked it hardly, this Miso soup was delicious too.

Our guests could eat these meals happily today.

But my children ate these meals and said, "Yammy !".
Especially as my son, Yuuki, loves meat balls he ate these fish balls so much, and he could get calcium and DHA a lot today.

By the way when I was eating these meals I remember one thing that my children have never gone for fishing.

I have to take them to do it !
