It was very warm here in Shimoda today.
After I took my wife to the station this early morning I went to the beach behind Shirahama shrine to take a picture.
We were able to see the sun this morning, but it had been rainy almost all day long.

I walked to Sotoura beach as usual after 4 days.
The Kawazu cherry trees in our field had already started to bloom several days ago.
It’s much earlier than usual.
I took a Nordic walk to Sotoura beach which is between Shirahama and the city of Shimoda this afternoon.
It was sunny again today, but we had much stronger and colder west wind than yesterday.
I think It’s the best season of the year to see the color of Shirahama beach in winter.
I walked on the seaside road as usual this afternoon.
The walking looking over the beautiful blue sea makes me very happy!
It ‘s now 11:00 PM, It’s raining here in Shimoda.
This morning I took my wife to the train station.
And I was able to see the sunrise on the way home, but it has been raining all day long.
I took a Nordic walk on the seaside road to Sotoura beach this afternoon.
There were a lot of clouds in the sky this afternoon but it was very beautiful.
My family and I went to the nearest shrine “Shirahama Shrine” on January 3rd after busy days.
Most of Japanese go to shrine at the beginning of new year to pray for good health and happiness.
It calls “Hatsumoude” in Japanese.
This shrine is very famous for its long history more than 2,600 years.
That’s why this place always is crowded with a looooot of visitors in the morning on January 1st.
