They are from Los Angeles in the United States and come to Japan once every year.
This year they came to Izu peninsula by rental car from Tokyo and stayed with us for one night.
After check out they went to the aquarium and will stay 2 more night in Shimoda city.
It had been rainy during their staying in Shirahama, but it will be sunny tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. So they will be able to go to the beach during their stay in Shimoda.

It had been rainy all day long today as the weather forecast said.
Our guests stayed in their rooms until late afternoon.
And they went to Shimoda city for dinner after that.
They are a family from Indonesia and have lived in Japan since 11 years ago.
They stayed at Pension Sakuraya for one night and they were going to the cave in Shimoda after check out, but we are very sorry about the weather during their stay.
We look forward to having you again.

This year it’s 31st anniversary of Pension Sakuraya.
And I made new 8 pieces of post card for this year as usual.
It was really difficult to choose 8 pictures of my numerous pictures which I took before, because I take pictures every day.

There are some small holes at the parking lot in front of Pension Sakuraya.
And small violet flowers are blooming this year as usual.
By the way the rainy season has come to Tokai area, the center of Japan today.
But we sometimes sunny days during rainy season….
I think there are a lot of wild boa living in the mountain nearby.
And they sometimes come down and dig big holes to look for their food.
That’s why the road side ditch was buried and I have to clean up every time.
It took more than 4 hours to eliminated sludge in it this afternoon.

It’s 10:30 PM now.
I think they are digging holes in the bamboo forest in front of Sakuraya.
They are from China and have lived in Tokyo since 3 years ago.
Before coming to Shimoda they had lunch in Odawara city and went to Atami and Jogasaki in Ito city.
And they went to Southern tip of Izu peninsula and drove on Western side of Izu.
I think they were lucky to have sunny days during their holidays in Izu peninsula.
As they speak Japanese very well I had good communication with the.

I took this picture at 5:30 this morning.
It had been rainy all day long today, and it’s a little cold now at 10:30 PM.
The weather forecast says it will be sunny this weekend and we will have rainy days next week…
It’s now 8:45 PM and it’s raining outside.
Today it had been cloudy and we sometimes had rain here in Shirahama.
There are some hydrangea trees in our garden, and they started to bloom much earlier than usual this year…..
We have a loquat tree (Biwa in Japanese) in our garden and the harvest season has come.
This loquat is a little smaller than the one we can see at supermarket, but it’s very sweet and juicy!!
I walked on the seaside road after several days.
When I was walking looking over the sea there were some people taking video on the beach.
