They are from Canada and England, and came to Japan in last July to get into the university as study abroad students.
It was the first time for them to visit Izu peninsula, but they were lucky to have sunny days during their stay.
On the 2nd day they went to Suzaki walking trail and swam at Tsumekizaki cape.
They went to Jogasaki in Ito city after check out.

Yesterday my wife said,
“Don’t you set up Koinobori this year?”.
Oh, no! I had completely forgotten it!!
So I set up it for my son this afternoon, I was very busy for many guests today though…
Koinobori, meaning carp streamer” in Japanese, are carp-shaped wind socks traditionally flown in Japan to celebrate Children’s Day on May 5th.
We, Japanese set up this Kinobori in honor of children for a good future and in the hope that they will grow up healthy and strong.

A lot of pink blossoms are now fully blooming in front of our building.
I walked on the seaside road this afternoon as usual.
It had been cloudy but we sometimes had blue sky today.
They were cleaning the road which had a lot of sand blown by the strong north wind from the beach the day before yesterday.

By the way, there are a lot of kinds of flowers in our field and some of them are now blooming.

They are from Bangladesh and have lived in Shizuoka prefecture.
It was the first time for them to come to Shimoda.
We are very sorry but they didn’t have good weather during their stay.

I think you were lucky to see the Kawazu sakura blooming fully in and around Shimoda city and in Kawazu town.

Kawazu Sakura trees are now almost fully blooming in our field.
A lot of white-eye birds come to the tree for their breakfast and lunch.
I had been taking pictures of white-eye for about 2 hours in our field.
After that, I walked around on seaside and mountain road for 2 and half hours.
I walked on the seaside road and went to Mt. Nesugata with the north-east wind.
Now we are able to see the joint performance of white and pink by the narcissus flowers and the sakura blossoms.
