On the 1st day of Black Ship Festival 2015 in Shimoda the fireworks display was held at Shimoda harbor.
I went to Shimoda to see the fireworks display with my family.
We were able to see the fireworks under the clear sky last year, but we were not able to see the big fireworks in the cloud this year.
The 76th Shimoda Black Ship Festival 2015 will take place for 3 days from May 15th Friday.
The fireworks festival will be held from 8:15 PM on the 1st day.

The blue sky and the sunshine came back here in Shimoda after 3 days!
It was very hot like summer!
I took my daughter to the train station in Shimoda by my car this morning, and took some pictures on the way.

It was very beautiful day again, so I walked on the beach and went to Ogasaki Wing.
This is a very good view points which has a gorgeous landscape with the Pacific Ocean, Izu Seven Islands, and Shirahama Beach.
It takes about an hour by walking from Pension Sakuraya.
If you take route #135, you should stop at this point and take a break.

I went to the nearest shrine "Shirahama shrine" this afternoon.
They had already been ready for the new year.
A lot of people come to this shrine during new year holidays to pray happiness, joy and good luck.
By the way, we were taken care of last year.

I went to Tsumekizaki-cape yesterday, where the daffidil flower festival has been taking place since December 20th.
We had very strong north wind there but we could see the beautiful scenery under the blue sky.
The daffodil blooming is now about 50%, and it's much earlier than usual.
The good time to see the flowers is usually after the middle of January, but the next new year holidays will be the best timing, I guess.
I went to Shimoda and went to Perry Road to take pictures.
The hydrangea is now fully blooming in Shimoda, and there were a lot of visitors it was rainy though.

I came back home from Shimoda by walking this afternoon.
On the way, I was able to see a lot of Kinmedai (Red snapper) at Shimoda Fish Market.
They had just been landed!
Shimoda is very famous for this red snapper.
We have some kinds of cooking of this fish, but the boiled one is the best cooking for red snapper.

We had very beautiful day with blue sky today after a long time.
Yesterday they had huge waves here in Shirahama and there was nobody for surfing.
But there were some surfers in the water because it was good condition for surfing today.
After I walked on the seaside road I went to Shimoda to play with my son and we took Free Foot Spa at Shimoda harbor.
