Rotenburo/Onsen/Kawazu Seven Water Falls

060429onsen01_1Today it was rainny and cloudy, and I didn’t take a photo.
So I introduce one of Onsen of Izu peninsula.

This is a "Oodaru", a biggest fall of Kawazu Seven Falls.
In this local area they call a fall "Taru"or "Daru" in Japanese, so Severn Falls is called "Nanadaru".

There is a Japanese style Ryokan "Amagisou" near this fall. And they have a big field of Onsen "Rotenburo" which anybody can take……

060429onsen02_1In their field there are 24 kinds of onsen, and most famous Rotenburo is this onsen on the riverside near the fall.

It is really comfortable to take a bath watching river and fall.
Besides they have an another fantastic onsen in front of fall.
That is Cave Onsen which you can see in the upper photo.

This onsen is 30 meters and has 2 entrance for men and women, but you can take a bath together inside.

I have to tell you two more things.

First of all you have to bring a bathing suit when you go there.
Because the travellers who come to see these seven falls also visit here to see this biggest fall.
And this onsen is "Konyoku" means men and women take a bath together.

If you forget your own bathing suit, they can rent it. Don’t worry about that.

And one more thing, if you would like to go there to take a bath, you had better select spring or autumn.
Because if you walk around in this field to take 24 baths in winter, it would be too cold.

Anyway it takes about 30 minutes by car from Sakuraya.

Why don’t you try it in this green season ?
