I had been very busy in these days, so I was
able to post these photos tonight.
I usually take photos just in front
of the beach, but when I went to the point a lot of people had already
been there.
So I took these photos on the road this year.
When I took my daughter to the school by my car I took some pictures on the way home.
This is the train station called "Izukyu Shimoda", which is the last station on Izukyuko line.
This is the entrance of Shimoda and southern part of Izu peninsula for the travellers who come by train.
Have you never been there?
It was a second day of Black Ship
Festival in Shimoda.
The official parade took place from 11:30 AM in the town and a
lot of people came to see it.
They also had a lot of shops and
performances today.
As I had a lot of customers yesterday and today I was not able to go, but my wife took pictures instead of me.
Today I walked to Tsumekizaki cape in Shimoda to see the flowers of narcissus.
This festival has been held since last December 20th, and now it is good timing to see the fully blooming there.
It was sunny and we didn't have cold wind, so it was very warm here in Shimoda.
I took some pictures on the way to Tsumekizaki.
I went to the Shimoda harbor by walking for an
hour this afternoon.
There is a sightseeing boat called 'Susquehannna'
which we can ride to see the harbor for 20 minutes.
Here is a web page which I posted a lot of photos when I rode it with my children.
Today it was a second day of
Shirahama shrine festival.
A lot of people come to this shrine and they
watched the traditional dance performance.
And after that they had a ceremony to tell the
opening of festival to the gods on the seven islands on the pacific
ocean.
Actually it is held on the first day, but they changed the date
because of rain yesterday.

I had worried about the weather, but the Fireworks Fesival was held from 8:00 PM on schedule.
There were a lot of people on the beach and the road along the beach.
After the last big firework display the audience applauded loudly.
