It was sunny and very hot today.
I took Nordic walk on the seaside road after 3 days.
The water was really beautiful and some of surfers got into the water without wetsuit.
I think the water is still cold in this season….
After walking I painted tables and chairs on the balcony of Pension Sakuraya for busy season.
There are some kinds of hydrangea in our field, and this is one of the ancestors of hydrangea in Japan.
After shopping in Shimoda city I took a picture of the beach on the way home.
It was sunny and very hot here in Shirahama today.
It took a looooong time to clean up the kitchen, but I finally finished to do it today!!
I’m very happy to see the beautiful kitchen.

The toilets on the Japanese style room floor were Japanese style, but they were remodeled after all.
They are from the United States and live in Tokyo.
It was the 1st time to visit Shimoda and they stayed with us for 3 nights.
They brought their own bikes by car and took : a cycling to Shimoda on the 1st day.
On the 2nd day they went to Shimoda by car and walk around in the rain.
On the 3rd day it became sunny and they went to the nearest beach, but the water was very cold to swim.
We had great time with you!

I set up Koinobori for my son yesterday.
Koinobori, meaning carp streamer” in Japanese, are carp-shaped wind socks traditionally flown in Japan to celebrate Children’s Day on May 5th.
We, Japanese set up this Kinobori in honor of children for a good future and in the hope that they will grow up healthy and strong.
They came from France and stayed at Pension Sakuraya for the 1st time.
After arriving in Japan they went to Kyoto, Nagano and some other places, and came to Shimoda as the last stop in Japan.
Unfortunately it had been cloudy during their stay they went to Irozaki cape to get on the tour boat and Shirahama shrine.

They came from Germany for the 1st time.
They visited Kyoto and some places for sightseeing and came to Shimoda for the last place to relax.
But unfortunately it had been cloudy and rainy during their stay.
We wanted them to see the beautiful beach and scenery in Shimoda.

They came from Paris in France for the first time and stayed for one night.
Before coming to Shimoda they went to Nikko and Hakone, and they will go to Shuzenji, Kyoto, Nara, Hiroshima and Miyajima after Shimoda.

They came from Malaysia and stayed for one night.
One of them has come to Japan twice before, but it was the first time for the other one.
They went to the restaurant in Shimoda to have Kinmedai fish for dinner.
After they checked out they went to Dogashima on the west side of Izu peninsula and were going to stay in Yugashima at the middle of Izu peninsula.
