We had very strong south wind yesterday, but it was not windy today.
This is one of good view points on Izu peninsula, which is located between Shimoda city and Kawazu town.
If you come to Shimoda by car, you should take a break at this view point on Rout 135 of eastern side of Izu peninsula.
If it was sunny and the air was clear, you would be able to get the beautiful view of Izu seven islands and Shirahama beach.
It was a little colder than yesterday here in Shimoda today.
I took this picture at Shimoda harbor when I went to Shimoda city for shopping.
When I came back from Shimoda city this evening I found out the gorgeous starry heavens.
So I took a lot of pictures on the terrace of Pension Sakuraya.
By the way we had west wind today, but it was sunny and very warm here in Shirahama.
There were a lot of surfers because of the national holiday today.
The water was very beautiful under the clear sky.

It was sunny all day long.
I took this picture after I took my son to the school as usual.
I started cleaning the bed rooms at the beginning of this month, and I finished all the rooms today after all.
It takes a long time to clean a room because I have to put all thing out of the room, and I clean the floor, wax it and clean the windows and everything in the room.
But I’m very happy to see the beautiful rooms after cleaning.
If you come to Shimoda by car, you can find out the view point called “Ogasaki Wing” between Shimoda city and Kawazu town.
You can see the beautiful view of Shirahama beach and Izu seven islands on the Pacific ocean.
I had been worrying about today since long time ago, because it was Fireworks Festival in Shirahama today.
We had a little wind, but it was sunny tonight and the fireworks display was taken place from 8:00 PM as usual.
Last year I went to the beach to take pictures, but I took pictures on the way to the beach this year because I was very busy and didn’t have enough time to go to the beach.
From this place we can see the parking lot just in front of the beach and the fireworks are shot up from the beach over there.
Of course all of our customers went to the beach to see the firewoks and said,
“It was really amazing!”
I went to Kumomi district in Matsuzaki town on the western side of Izu peninsula with my son on last Sunday.
I think it was the last chance to go to the beach for snorkeling with him before busy summer.
We enjoyed the open-air hot spring by the sea, but it was not good condition for snorkeling because of big waves and not clear water.
At midnight 2 days ago, when I was working in my office I heard that something had been walking in the bush just in front of Pension Sakuraya.
So I went out from the entrance with stealthy steps, and took a picture of it.
It was a wild boar as I guessed!
By the way, when my son went to the school this morning I left our home with him and took a walk alone on the seaside road after that.
My son and I went to Shimoda city for cycling this afternoon.
We parked our car at the free parking lot near harbor and took a cycling on the seaside road, and went to the liquir shop opened in 1889 and Shimoda history museum.
We had very strong north wind in Shirahama, but there was no wind in Shimoda city, so it was very good condition for cycling.
My son was excited very much today.

We had a little cold west wind, but it was beautiful day.
It was a graduation ceremony of high school in Shimoda.
It means it was the last day for me to take my daughter to the school by car in every morning.
