The Highest Mountain “Takane” in Shirahama

080208mttakane01_2Yesterday my friend asked me,

"How is the blooming of Sakura on Mt. Takane? Because I have my own Sakura there."

As I was not able to answer him I decided to go this mountain to check Sakura blossoms with my son today. (Actually there are our three sakura trees there too!)

When we got off our car we started to walk.
This is a small place to see Izu seven island on the way to the top of mountain…..

Hydrangea Festival in Shimoda

070528ajisai00When I went to Shimoda for shopping with my son, I went to "Shimoda Park" to check the blooming of Hydrangea, "Ajisai" in Japanese.

The flowers has just started to bloom, but we could see some flowers there.

They says that there are 3 million flowers of Hydragea in this park, and we can walk in a lot of flowers with a view of Shimoda town and harbor at the peak of blooming season.

Mt. Fuji and Rape Blossoms in Western Izu Peninsula

070215mtfuji01_1Today my wife had to do her job, so I had to be a baby sitter of my son, Yuuki.

I was thinking where we go.

As we had a strong wind I thought that we might be able to see Mt. Fuji from the west side of Izu peninsula today.

I reseached it in the web camera site ….. Bingo !!

So I desided to go to see Mt. Fuji with my son !!

When I was driving on the way of West Izu I could see Mt. Fuji,  I was very excited !!

Foot Spa – Izukyu Shimoda train station

I have ever been there a lot of times, but I have never show this.

This is Foot Spa in front of Shimoda station building.

This spa is free of charge and opened for 24 hours.
The capacity is about 4 people, so it is not big, I think.

If you go to Shimoda by train please try it once.

Sawada Park Rotenburo- Outside Hot Spring in Dogashima

061017rotenburo01_1Today it was beautiful day, so I went to Nishi Izu with my son, Yuuki.

After 1 hours driving we could see the ocean and drove for 5 minutes we got to "Sawada Koen (Open-Air Spa)"
in Dogashima.

When we arrived there was nobody in a parking lot and I found a sign at the reception of this Onsen.
"Closed on every Tuesday" it said.

But I was not going to take a bath there because my son had a little cold today.

After parking my car we went up the steep steps to get to Onsen on the top of hill.

"Hey Yuuki, watch your step !!"   …..
